• Observe safety and security procedures by constantly inspecting area for hazards, correcting and resolving safety issues within their control, reporting unsafe conditions, using equipment and materials properly and actively participating in safety initiatives.
• Make machine adjustments within allowances to ensure production of quality material.
• Notify LMT or Supervisor of machine malfunctions immediately and make timely notifications to LMT or Supervisor when excessive or repeating quality issues occur.
• Assist in material changes to include but not limited to creel loading, reed drawing and machine cleaning.
• Accurately complete production documentation.
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Show initiative to meet goals by offering and asking for help when needed.
• Complete work in timely manner.  Strive to increase productivity by working quickly and effectively, ensuring safety and quality expectations are met.
• Assemble packaging and properly palletize finished material.
• Follow both spoken and written instructions and respond appropriately to management direction.

 Requirements:

• Must work assigned shift as scheduled by production needs. Employees are normally assigned a “regular” shift; however, all employees may need to work overtime or other shifts or days as necessary due to business need.  Flexibility is a critical requirement in this position.
• Must follow instruction and respond to management direction.    
• Must read and interpret written information to include specification sheets, quality requirements, and accurately record production information.
• Must be capable of:
  • Constant standing, walking and climbing.
  • Climbing or working from ladders, scaffolds, elevated platforms and heights up to 10 feet above floor level.
  • Lifting weights up to and in excess of 25 Lbs. from ground level to a height of approximately 6 feet.
  • Occasionally lifting in excess of 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Spending extended periods in awkward, cramped work conditions setting up/servicing machine
  • Pushing or pulling loads in excess of 100 lbs., when positioning/transporting material on doff trucks and/or floor lifts.
• Fine finger movement and visual acuity to handle and work with fibers and other textile materials.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain assigned looms by repairing ward ends and fixing filling breaks
• Inspecting fabrics twice per shift
• Patrolling and inspecting back of looms for mat-ups, low warps and laps
• Maintaining and cataloging all loom stoppage

 Other Duties:

• Maintain a clean/safe work environment while complying with safety and quality standards
• Behave in a positive manner that enhances productivity and success of the company
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

 Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous weaving or textile experience required
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Follow dress code including PPE guidelines as specified for the position
