Job description
Wiring Technician
The ideal candidate should have a steady work history that shows commitment, quality, and reliability to their work. You will report promptly to your team leader for your daily duties and will work with your team to ensure that the production goals are reached. You must have the ability to work to a high standard of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment. Working with a team of talented and motivated specialists, you will assist in the production of electrical switchgear products. This will require you to have a high attention to detail, quality, and safety standards.
Essential Job Functions:
· Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
· Using hand tools for cutting, stripping, terminating of control power wiring
· Using power tools for drilling, cutting tapping, riveting of electrical assemblies
· Work with a team to install advanced wiring platforms for electrical switchgear.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· High school diploma or GED
· Proven experience in the electrical field.
· Previous experience accurately reading wiring diagrams and schematic, blueprints, interpret drawings and specifications.
· Previous experience with using associated wiring/hand tools in the electrical industry
· Recent or current electrician's license preferred.
· Associates degree or technical certifications in one of the following or related fields: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, etc. preferred.
· Prior experience with LV/MV Switchgear and/or control panels (Installing wiring, conducting maintenance, etc.) is preferred.
Physical Requirements
Due to the nature of our work, Team Members may be required to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, carry objects over distance, bend/twist, squat, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, use tools requiring manual dexterity, and may be required to operate powered industrial equipment.
