Utility Operator B-Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a detailed-oriented individual to join the team at a reputable manufacturer of glass-ceramic solutions in Fountain Inn, SC! The Utility Associate is primarily responsible for providing all areas of production with materials needed to meet established goals for through put and quality. Responsibilities:

- Staging glass for all areas, and providing crates to the FQC area, based on the production schedule and usage guidelines. Materials are moved using forklifts or hand trucks.
- Emptying sludge barrels at the centrifuge with forklift, emptying large trash containers and general housekeeping.
- Assembling cullet boxes using preformed corrugated materials for production use in all areas and removes full cullet from production area. Once removed the associate will band and prepare the cullet boxes as well as the end caps for shipment.
- Assisting with loading and unloading of trucks in the shipping department when needed, using forklifts or hand trucks.
- Operating the Broken Glass Unloader and maintaining the level of Raw Glass in the Hold Area
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Forklift experience is needed.
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
- Must be motivated, self-starter with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and write sufficiently to follow work-order instructions, read equipment manuals and prepare production reports.
- Ability to work independently while utilizing problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- If needed, must be able to work weekends and flex hours.
