Job Description

The Slasher Helper will primarily be supporting the Slasher Tender to accomplish all job requirements of the slashing process.Responsibilities:

- Obtain full section beam, haul to and position at slasher creel move empty section beam to storage rack and place in proper place on rack
- Doff full warps from slasher and place empty beam in slasher
- Record production information, make tickets and inspects for quality
- Haul full warp beams to storage rack and return with empty
- Weigh slasher waste, push to waste house and place in proper container
- Lease ends, assists in lay ends in expansion comb and greases the slasher
- Job will require associate to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to read and write and follow directions
- Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication skills and able to perform simple math
- Must be able to operate a forklift
- Must be comfortable working in temperatures slightly above comfort zone
- Must be able to distinguish colors
