Job Summary: The Shipping Associate is primarily responsible for accurately selecting and preparing items for shipment based on customer orders. This role involves reading order slips, locating merchandise in the warehouse, and ensuring that products are packed correctly and efficiently. The Warehouse Picker plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

The Warehouse Picker plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
- Shipping
- Maintain on-hand stock of packaging supplies and inventory.
- Ensure products are staged adequately in designated areas for shipment.
- Locate and pick products using pick tickets/RF scanner
- Prepare orders for shipment by labeling and packaging items securely
- Perform inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Manually move stock and other materials and perform other unskilled labor.
- Look for ways to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and workflow.
- Meets productivity standards. Completes work in a timely manner.
- Reports on potentially unsafe conditions.
- Quality and Accuracy:
- Prepare orders for shipment by labeling and packaging items securely.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality and accuracy to ensure the correct items are picked up and are free from damage. Secure the accuracy of this process by picking and scanning one order at a time.
- Work with RF scanners and maintain sign-in and sign-out RF log.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
- Practice housekeeping inside the warehouse by following 5S standards.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse/workstation, adhering to safety and compliance standards.
- Expected to participate in safety meetings or training sessions.
- Reports on potentially unsafe conditions.  
- When the job requires it, employees must wear appropriate gear.
- Education and Training 
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.  
- Completion of Manual and electric pallet jack training.
- Accomplishment of all Level 1 training
- Competency
- Effective prioritization skills 
- Good verbal and written communication abilities 
- Able to organize and work independently. 
- Must be reliable and have good attendance. 
- Ability to work under pressure

- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and initiative in addressing warehouse challenges
- Physical Demand
- Ability to stand for a period of 8-10 hrs. and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Frequent walking, bending, pulling, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, talk, or hear.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment that is not climate-controlled, with varying temperatures.
