Job Description
The Senior Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring a high level of quality is maintained throughout the process. The tech will have daily primary responsibility for updating the customer issue portals (BIM, BUG, Procore, Compass, etc.). You must have the ability to work to a high standard of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

- Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.
- Utilize the NCR process and 8D approach to building quality into the processes including but not limited to:
- Internally Audit daily work activities within the organization to identify non-conformances in process that require sustained correction.
- Expeditiously Initiate, Manage-by-Priority, and Close out NCR’s.
- Escalate repeated non-conformances or advanced level problems to QA Engineers.
- Ensure all associates in respective areas are competently trained and practicing proper operating procedures to ensure a quality product is passed through all stations.
- Identify opportunities to build quality into products and processes.
- Work closely with engineering, production, safety, and vendors to ensure product compliance.
- Engage in any improvements which seek to drive the COPQ down.
- Assist development of a fully documented SOP for all activities within the organization.
- Deliver training for any new quality improvement.
- Coordinate RMA activities with suppliers.
- Support Quality Engineering with root cause investigation and corrective action implementation.
- Update customer issue responses within customer portal and/or NCR system to support communication and feedback on reported issues.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience working in an advanced technical QA position in a manufacturing environment.
- 2-5 years' experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, and/or tape measures) to do in-depth quality checks.
- Experience communicating with suppliers with regard to RMA coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to plan and organize your responsibilities according to needs of the company
- Ability to make decision and self-pace your work. Strong prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability in an organized manner using 8D/NCR methodology.
- Experience with Data Collection.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and measure or test product to determine conformance.
- Trained Internal Auditor and experience auditing to internal and ISO standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to occasionally travel to vendors and clients to handle NCR’s.
- Ability to interact with multiple people at different levels to include but not limited to upper management, production, engineering, clients, and vendors to creatively resolve quality issues
- 2 years’ experience with leadership responsibilities highly preferred
- Quality related certifications and training highly preferred (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Calibration, 9-hour Quality Technician, etc.)
- 2 Year associate degree Required (Quality/Manufacturing Tech Preferred)
