Job Description

Phillips Staffing is seeking Senior Quality Engineer for a high-precision, complex components manufacturer located in Spartanburg, SC. This is a direct hire position with full benefits!

Responsibilities:
  • Coordination of closed-loop problem solving activities.
  • Ensure the company’s day-to-day Quality activities (receiving/in-process/final inspections) in conjunction with daily/weekly shipping requirements.
  • Conduct random process/part audits to validate effectiveness of application with-in production.
  • Communication of problems/ non-conforming issues to all departments.
  • Define Quality Standards with Management and Customer, and supply Production, Suppliers, and Auditors with these standards.
  • Develop and revise Quality documentation/ procedures as needed in order to maintain their effectiveness and continuously improve the working system.
  • Analysis and documentation of internal/external non-conformances/returns to determine root cause and prevent reoccurrence of quality issues.
  • Alert Management of any deviations in the Quality level.
  • Assist the Management in the training of the associates on Quality Standards and ensure proper skill level is achieved.
  • Participate in FMEAs / control plans / production / Quality meetings.
  • Participate in corrective actions planning, analysis, implementation and follow-up.
  • Follow up on internal/external quality problems / supplier problems
  • Provide support to the customer, internal/external with the shortest response time possible.
  • Facilitate supplier/customer quality meetings to address immediate quality concerns and to establish standard samples with customer and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree from two-year College or two to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • IATF 16949/ISO 14001:2015 internal auditor certificate
Shift Schedule: 1st Shift Pay Rate: $60-80k/Year, Based on Experience
