Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives as a unified goal.
Operate/set-up/program/maintain CNC Mill, Press Brake and Punch machines efficiently
Select, load, install, breakdown correct tooling
Maintain machines, cooling systems, tooling; replace or notify management as needed
Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces
Monitor machine operation and control panel displays; compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions
Modify programs to account for problems encountered during operation
Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products that exceed customer's expectations
Work from live schedule, verbal and written instruction, bills of material, routing, samples, blueprints and control plans
Maintain good housekeeping in work area and stage completed product properly on skids
Follow safe operating practices and lead team to do the same
Train/mentor less experienced operators in proper process and safety

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Previous metal fabrication background
4+ years CNC set-up and operating experience (preferably with HAAS equipment)
Extensive knowledge of Tooling – build, breakdown, maintain, inventory
Dimensional measuring, shop math competence and basic computer skills
Capable of using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with co-workers and supervisor
