- Assist Plant Engineers with maintaining ISO certification and supporting compliance initiatives.
- Follow all plant safety requirements and support Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.
- Perform laboratory quality testing on raw materials and finished products, including moisture analysis, product sizing, bulk density, and other physical tests.
- Maintain laboratory testing equipment, supplies, and materials, including requisitioning replacements as needed.
- Record and maintain production and quality data, including production volumes, raw material usage, and quality control Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Communicate quality or production concerns to the Plant Manager, Process Engineers, and Department Supervisors.
- Collaborate with production leadership to identify, implement, and monitor corrective actions that improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
- Monitor work processes and inspect products, materials, and documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Manage the product sample retention program, including maintaining storage areas and purge schedules for Carbon Oversize, Shortcut, Nomex, and other product lines.
- Learn and utilize the M4 system to manage pack-out inventories and provide backup support for plant purchasing activities.
- Coordinate the blade collection and re-sharpening program for Negastat and Carbon Oversize (CO) operations.
- Perform general clerical and administrative duties as needed, including invoicing, ordering supplies, and assisting with the development and maintenance of procedures.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Experience with manufacturing ERP systems or inventory management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
