Join a dynamic team at a leading manufacturing equipment supplier, as a Production Planner. This is a direct hire role with full benefits! 
Job Summary: The Production Planner is primarily responsible for all aspects of production planning. This position works with internal departments to develop effective and efficient production plans, schedules and forecasts based on customer orders, sales forecasts and machine capacity/capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes, creates, prioritizes and manages production schedules for the manufacturing department in order to meet company/customer expectations.
  • Determines production priorities and monitors their progress, throughout the month to ensure on-time delivery of product to customers.
  • Provides a reliable production plan, once a day including all the necessary information required for optimal machine capacity.
  • Advises on FTE requirements for the implementation of the production schedule.
  • Effectively interfaces with production, engineering, purchasing, customers, etc.
  • Must keep track of production numbers and anticipate problems that could affect the schedule and delivery performance.
  • Analyzes raw materials and purchased parts to ensure that scheduling requirements are met.
  • Increases productivity and efficiency by maximizing direct labor utilization, and maximizes line productivity by reducing downtime caused by product "change-overs."
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Degree: 2-year Associate's degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in production scheduling or planning, preferably in the stainless-steel parts manufacturing (or similar) industry; experience with MRP and an ERP system.
  • Required years of experience in lieu of education: 4+ years
  • of JOBPACK and an understanding of manufacturing planning; Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; High degree of quantitative and analytical skills; Ability to interact with departments and employees at all levels of the organization
  • MS Office certification a plus.
Shift Schedule: 1st Shift Salary: $55,000-75,000k/Year
