Job Description

Phillips Staffing is a Senior Machine Operator to join a dynamic team at a leading textile, chemical, and floor covering solutions manufacturer in Simpsonville that offers various advancement opportunities and the ability to go to a full-time status as early as 90 days!

Responsibilities:
  • Follow all safety procedures and lock out the machine when performing maintenance or cleaning.
  • Set up and operate the control panel, ensuring the line runs at spec speed; notify shift leader or PI if unable to maintain speed.
  • Review specs and run charts before starting a new style; verify setups at every shift or operator change.
  • Perform and document all required cleaning steps to prevent contamination.
  • Inspect carpet for defects and perform quality checks; responsible for overall product quality.
  • Change needleboards as needed or when requested by PPI.
  • Complete color cards and lot verification sheets for each lot; document run settings once first quality is achieved.
  • Doff and start rolls, generate appropriate tickets (SAP, Waste, Development), and log shift efficiency.
  • Operate the weigh hopper system and follow blending orders accurately.
  • Stop the machine for any safety, quality, or mechanical issues and report spec/setup discrepancies to management.
Requirements: 
  • Basic written, communication and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to left 40lbs at various times throughout the day
Shift Schedule: Rotating Shift

Pay Rate: $19.96/Hour
