Job Description
Phillips Staffing is seeking mechanically-minded individuals for a Plate Mounter position with a reputable custom labeling manufacturer in the Upstate. This role offers a hands-on work environment and an opportunity to grow with a dynamic production team. The Plate Mounter is primarily responsible for mounting printing plates, staging production orders, grouping similar orders, and issuing production orders to press.
Responsibilities:
Pay Rate: $16/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Follow all procedures in the Departmental Work Instructions.
- Ensure each press has sufficient work for the full shift.
- Mount plates ensuring position and copy direction are correct.
- Issue orders to press by date, ensuring all required components are issued.
- Assist in issuing and returning ink as needed.
- Assist in issuing and returning stock as needed.
- Notify Production Supervisor of jobs not able to be staged.
- Assist with other production operations as directed.
- Train other plate Mounters as needed.
- Assist with cleaning inks as needed.
- Take out trash.
- Mop weekly.
- Daily - Make sure the presses supplies are stocked; example cores and cleaning fluids, etc.
- Must pass a Mechanical Reasoning Test (includes ruler reading, mechanical reasoning, and basic math)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as required by the work schedule.
- Successful completion of training.
- Strong organization skills.
- Commitment to company goals, the quality policy, and all rules and policies in the Employee Handbook.
- Understand and apply the Internal Customer Concept.
- Understand how the processes specified on the job ticket combine to produce the desired product.
Pay Rate: $16/Hour
