DIRECT HIRE
Mon-Fri 7: 30am-4pm

Education:
4yr degree in a relevant field (e.G. Electrical Eng, Computer Science, Mechatronics) from an Institution accredited by the US Dep of Education
OBJECTIVE Performs software implementation based on interpretation of project specifications and the AWL programming standard
Primary Duties
Analyze project specifications and technical deliverables for the purpose of creating, updating, and maintaining PLC software.
Work collaboratively with Functional and Assembly Team colleagues to build machines to-specification within customer deadlines.
Perform off-site installation, commissioning, and support activities at customer locations.
Perform verification and validation for installation activities on a wide range of field devices.
Perform other duties outside the normal scope of job description at the discretion of management
Customary & Regular Tasks
Collaborate with Documentation Engineering to generate content for project deliverables.
Manually adjust sensors, valves, and other field devices to ensure proper performance.
Relay all customer requests to Project Management prior to further action.
Job History & Experience
It is preferred that PLC Field Controls Engineer candidates have professional exposure to any number of the following topics:
o Automotive manufacturing
o MIG, TIG, spot, and laser welding
o Industrial adhesives
o Software development
o Automated robotic storage and retrieval systems
o Machine vision systems
It is preferred that PLC Field Controls Engineer candidates possess certifications from (a) PLC manufacturer(s) (e.G. SIEMENS, Rockwell Automation).

Collaborate with PLC Controls Engineer to complete the "PLC software design" deliverable
ASSEMBLY
Review and implement "PLC software design" directives
Commission all field devices
Complete internal safety acceptance test under CSS supervision
Test and debug PLC and HMI software
Resolve and close all assigned open issues
Achieve contracted machine performance metrics (e.G. Cycle time).
COMMISSIONING
Travel to customer site
Perform verification and validation for on-site machine commissioning
Deliver project-specific customer trainings
