Job Description
Phillips Staffing is seeking an material handler to work in a medium-to-fast paced environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Follow work instructions and standards posted in the Molding department • Visually inspect last packaged shots to ensure part integrity per quality standards • Support achievement of the Molding production plan • Schedule and relieve other material handlers for breaks • Move totes and/or assemble boxes for packaging of components at the press • Separate plastic parts from runners on non-operator presses • Support containment of materials that is determined to be nonconforming • Weigh, label and pack parts per posted planned orders • Complete all resin moves within molding • Movement of completed parts to specified staging locations • Completion of line clear at the end of production runs • Prevent mixture of parts in totes by following correct work procedures • Maintain satisfactory attendance record • Assure safe work practices to include proper use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, etc.) • Completion of scrap transactions • Other duties as necessary
WORKPLACE REQUIREMENTS:
• Capable of basic trimming of plastic parts • Ability to perform repetitive rotation and movement of hands and wrists to work quickly and efficiently • Ability to move and lift totes weighing up to 50 pounds overhead, repetitively • Able to stand for long periods of time at work station(s) • Good dexterity • Good eye/hand coordination • Ability to bend, lift and stretch • High School diploma or GED equivalent
