Job Description
We are seeking a Field Service Technician for a company that specializes in designing and manufacturing high-quality switchgear solutions for power distribution in Gray Court, SC. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits! Responsibilities:

- Fulfill parts orders to ensure quality and delivery expectations are met.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the storage, installation, testing, or potential product non-conformance resolution.
- Maintain knowledge of product and field practices.
- Conduct testing on HV switchgear: Circuit function test, timing test, contact resistance test, insulation resistance test, Dielectric Withstand (Hi-Pot) test, Vacuum Integrity test, Bushing Current Transformer (BCT) test, wire insulation test, and helium leak test.
- Perform repair on HV switchgear: Utilizing work instructions to repair equipment accurately and efficiently in the field and in the plant using power and precision tools.
- Support customer request in the field: Traveling to customer sites, perform classroom training and hands-on training to customers. Make repairs in the field and perform testing in the field.
- Completes work plan for each assigned task in timely & quality-oriented manner.
- Maintains high quality levels by establishing, revising, and enforcing organization standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by demonstrating an understanding of all control points, equipment, and resources, comply with established policies and procedures.
- Resolve customer problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft software to document findings, generate reports, and communicate procedures and tasks to customers.
- Prefer AAS in Mechatronics or Engineering technology, other combinations of education and experience will be considered
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience in a manufacturing or field service environment.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially EXCEL.
- ERP system experience, preferably SAP
- Able to effectively communicate up and down the organizational hierarchy.
- Able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- The ability to travel up to 60% to customer site locations to conduct service work (U.S and Canada).
