Job Description
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join a team as Small Engine Mechanic at a beautiful public golf course in Fountain Inn, SC. This position focuses on diagnosing and repairing golf carts and small engines to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. - Diagnose and repair gas and electric golf carts, including engines, batteries, brakes, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery replacements, and brake adjustments
- Maintain and repair other small engine equipment used on the course (e.g., trimmers, blowers, mowers)
- Keep accurate maintenance records for all equipment and parts used
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and safe manner
- Assist with cleaning, inspecting, and preparing golf carts for daily use or special events
- Report any major issues or parts needs to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other tasks as assigned by the superintendent or equipment manager
- Previous experience repairing small engines or golf carts preferred
- Basic knowledge of gas and electric motors, hydraulics, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic tools, and follow maintenance procedures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
- Reliable with strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and occasional overtime as needed
