Job Description


The ideal candidate should have a steady work history that shows commitment, quality, and reliability to their work. You will report promptly to your team leader for your daily duties and will work with your team to ensure that the production goals are reached. You must have the ability to work to a high standard of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

· Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal.

· Build switchgear housing from the ground up.

· Read blueprints to install copper and aluminum conductors using hand tools and torque wrenches

· Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. consistently and safely.

· Resolve most of the problems encountered in keeping the team on target with assistance from team members.

· Complete daily routine operations tasks for both Copper and sheet metal and when the unit is on target.

· Provide troubleshooting assistance and determine the cause of performance gaps using collaborative data knowledge and skills.

· Document/report all production quality requirements and any performance gaps ensuring all relevant troubleshooting and resolution information is recorded.

· Provide support for general engineering and electrical activities as required.

· Ensuring accuracy in maintaining production records such as quantities and types produced.

· Compliance with all safety rules and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Proven background in Electrical Helper role, auto mechanic, and/or industrial mechanical positions.

· Ability and willingness to consistently and safely lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.

· Carry objects over distance, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, and use tools requiring manual dexterity.

· Must have the ability to freely bend, twist, squat, and climb.

· Associates degree or technical certifications in one of the following or related fields: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, etc. is preferred.

· Prior experience with LV/MV Switchgear and/or control panels (Installing wiring, building frames, etc.) is preferred.

Physical Requirements

Due to the nature of our work, Team Members may be required to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis, carry objects over distance, bend/twist, squat, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, use tools requiring manual dexterity, and may be required to operate powered industrial equipment.
