Job Description
Mechanical CAD Drafter/Designer Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 / hour based on experience Job Responsibilities:Creating detailed part drawings and assembly drawings using Autodesk 2D AutoCADCreating 3D models with Autodesk InventorMaking any necessary changes to existing models or drawingsAcquiring technical data via catalogs, web pages, and vendors to create models and drawingsTransforming initial rough product designs or sketches into working models and documentsMaintaining proper organization of models and drawing filesDeveloping 2D and 3D parts and assemblies with guidance and oversight from senior Engineers and DesignersCreating BOM’s and new part numbers in ERP/MRP systemWorking with Purchasing Dept. to order and source parts required for ordersEstablishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and distributors Required Skills & Qualifications:Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD & Inventor (or Solidworks)Familiar with MRP/ERP SystemsStrong attention to detail and mathematical abilitiesKnowledge of machine shop and manufacturing principles a plusSolid understanding of engineering practices and other physical sciences
