Job Description
We are seeking a detailed-oriented individual to join the team at a reputable manufacturer of glass-ceramic solutions in Fountain Inn, SC! The Inspector is primarily responsible for inspecting cerammed glass pieces to ensure quality as determined by internal requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Inspectors check and verify 100% of glass after creaming for any mechanical or visual defects.
- Wraps and packs the pieces into properly labeled crates for shipment to customers or segregates the rejects with cullet pieces and are recorded.
- Operate area equipment such as the foam cutter and the tilt lift used for lifting crates for easier access will filling.
- The associates are responsible for stocking needed materials in the area such as stickers, foam and other packing supplies.
- Inspectors may also be asked to perform flatness and mechanical resistance tests periodically.
- Associates are responsible for maintaining a clean working environment.
- Lift panels of glass repeatedly varying in weight from an estimated 8 to 14 lbs.
- Pull and push loaded carts of glass product varying in weight from 500 to 600 lbs.
- Twist and turn to inspect glass, pull screens, organize enamels and operate machines.
- HSD or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience required
- Willingness to learn and follow directions
- Proven mechanical aptitude.
- Must be able to use and read a tape measure.
- Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.
- Must be motivated, self-starter with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and write sufficiently to follow work-order instructions, read equipment manuals and prepare production reports.
- If needed, must be able to work weekends and flex hours.
