We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to join a growing CNC workshop in Spartanburg. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a global manufacturer known for producing high-precision components used in compressors and advanced industrial equipment. This is a direct hire role with excellent benefits!

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for operating and setting up a Schenk dynamic balancing machine to ensure precision and quality in compressor rotor production. The role also includes deburring, packing, and general shop support tasks to maintain efficient workflow and meet production targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate dynamic balancing equipment for precision compressor rotors.
  • Complete required production and inspection documentation accurately.
  • Deburr parts using rotary pneumatic tools.
  • Clean, pack, and prepare parts for shipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality standards.
  • Support workflow continuity and minimize downtime through effective collaboration with team members.
  • Participate in cross-training for other shop floor tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a metal cutting CNC Machinery environment highly preferred
  • Proficiency with standard measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic technical drawings.
  • Consistent work ethic with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Flexibility to learn new tasks and contribute within a small-team environment.
Physical RequirementsThis position involves regular physical activity in a manufacturing setting. The employee must be able to:
  • Stand, walk, and move throughout the workshop for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry parts and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform repetitive tasks using hands and arms, including deburring and packing.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Work in a moderately noisy environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 pm - 10:10 pm, Monday - Friday Pay Rate: $20/Hour, Plus Shift Differential
