Phillips Staffing is seeking a motivated individual to join the team at a leading manufacturer in Piedmont, SC!Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs functions of cleaning and lubricating various equipment and assists with some maintenance activities relying on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform tasks. Responsibilities:Performs all duties in a safe manner to include keeping the work area clean & neat, and the use of the “LOCK OUT/TAG OUT procedure when required. If any unsafe conditions are identified in or outside the HMP facility, these items need to be brought to the attention of Maintenance Supervisor immediately.Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.Assists in performing maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or electrical.Assists with dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and installs new or repaired parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.Under supervision, may operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts for fabricating stands, guards, and other parts.Assist in off-hours calls when required.Performs all other duties and projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant Maintenance Supervisor or Management.Performs preventive maintenance functions according to task lists.Performs work safely and follows health, safety, and environmental procedures.Ensures that job site is left clean after the job is completed.Completes assigned work in a timely manner to reduce down time in the production environment. Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent preferableBasic mechanical aptitude.Ability to follow directions.Must be able to read and write English proficiently and accurately to completing required reports.Basic mathematical skills.Ability to use measuring equipmentShift Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, Monday – Thursday, Flexible Hours on FridayPay Rate: $21/Hour #IND2
