Job Description
We are seeking a UD Machine Operator for a leading manufacturer in Anderson, SC that provides opportunities for long-term career growth! The UD Machine Operator is responsible for all work activities on their assigned shift in the tape spreading areas including production documentation, replacement of high wear items, material quality evaluation, and machine setting adjustments.

- Observe safety and security procedures by constantly inspecting area for hazards, correcting and resolving safety issues within their control, reporting unsafe conditions, using equipment and materials properly and actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Make machine adjustments within allowances to ensure production of quality material.
- Notify Supervisor of machine malfunctions immediately and make timely notifications to Supervisor when excessive or repeating quality issues occur.
- Accurately complete production documentation.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Show initiative to meet goals by offering and asking for help when needed.
- Work quickly and effectively, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity expectations are met.
- Follow both spoken and written instructions and respond appropriately to management direction.
- Keep others informed, be helpful, respectful and team oriented.
- Take ownership of work.
- Prefer high school diploma or GED.
- Prefer demonstrated experience in industrial setting with an understanding of manufacturing principles, processes and machinery.
- Must be able to pass forklift certification test.
- Ability to make decisions based on sound logic and proper resourcing of information.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematics
- Ability to read tape measure and record data correctly, both written and within systems (data entry).
- Ability to lift weights up to and in excess of 50 Lbs. from ground level to a height of approximately 6 feet.
- Ability to spend extended periods in awkward, cramped work conditions setting up/servicing machine.
Pay Rate: $23.24/Hour
