Are you a skilled Industrial Electrician looking for a rewarding career with an innovative company? We are seeking a motivated, safety-focused professional to join our client’s growing team in Greenville, South Carolina.Responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on new locomotive assemblies.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical systems, both in the shop and while supporting customers in the field.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, company standards, and customer specifications.
- Work safely using industry-standard tools, equipment, and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, sales, and production teams to deliver high-quality locomotives.
- Provide technical support to customers over the phone and during onsite service visits.
- Help maintain exceptional customer service.
- Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Electrician experience.
- Experience with:
- Low-voltage AC and DC circuits
- 480 VAC three-phase power
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- PLCs
- Motors and generators
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel periodically throughout the United States and Canada.
- Must possess a valid passport or be willing to obtain one.
- Periodic travel to customer locations throughout the United States and Canada is required to support locomotive commissioning, troubleshooting, and service.
- Complete periodic background checks.
- Participate in drug screenings as required by customer facilities.
- Associate's degree in Electrical & Mechanical Technology or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
- 2+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Experience with diesel engines or diesel mechanics.
- Interest in learning the mechanical systems of locomotives, including diesel engines and gearboxes.
