Job Description

We are seeking to hire an HR Coordinator/Shipping Clerk to perform clerical duties to help an office run smoothly and efficiently. Their duties include answering phone calls and emails, greeting and directing office visitors to designated meeting areas and building spreadsheets or presentations for leadership staff.A Shipping and Receiving Clerk, would be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventoryResponsibilities:Conduct recruitment and manage the selection process for both temporary and permanent employment in order to maintain adequate staffing based on business needs.Responsible for the initial contact and communication with temporary employment agencies regarding but not limited to the following: communication of employment needs, requirement of placement, rules and policies of the facility, coordination of orientation and training of temporary employees.Responsible for written advertisement of employment opportunities, application process, pre-employment screening, interviewing, testing, background check and reference check during the employment recruitment and selection process.Supporting Company and HR policies and proceduresKnowledge and enforcement of the guidelines outlined in the employee handbookMaintain personnel recordsOversee and coordinate training and orientationManage data in spreadsheets and reportsKeep records and reports up to dateOrganize and schedule meetings and eventsSupervise other staff and delegate responsibilitiesHandle technical issues in their area of expertiseCarry out clerical duties, including answering phones and preparing documentsShipping Duties:Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the companyMaintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basisSchedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipmentsKeep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managersHandle issues arising in shipping or inventory handlingEnsure adherence to environmental management and systemsTrouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve themPlace merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goodsRequirements:2+ years HR Experience2+ years in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)1 year of shipping or logistics experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $16 to $20 an hourSchedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
