Grinding Machine Operator
Job Description
We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Grinding Machine Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team in Seneca, South Carolina. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring grinding equipment to produce high-quality components that meet customer specifications and company standards. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

- Set up and operate grinding machines according to production requirements and work instructions.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow all company safety procedures, quality standards, and workplace policies.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production goals.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience.
- Ability to read measuring tools and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Experience operating grinding machines, CNC equipment, or precision machining equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and inspection processes.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
