Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a leading manufacturing equipment supplier, as an Electrical Helpdesk Engineer. The Electrical Helpdesk Engineer is primarily responsible for providing customer technician support on PLC, computer, and motor controls, as well as providing technical and engineering support within internal company departments. 

Responsibilities:
  • Supports customers/internal technicians on all PLC, Computer and electrical motor control issues via remote access.
  • Supports customers/internal technicians by manning helpdesk calls, 24/7 on a scheduled basis.
  • Technical support for other internal departments, including Projects, Parts, and R&D.
  • Travels to customer site (on short notice) to resolve issues.
  • Keeps accurate records of customer/internal technician trouble calls via database software.
  • Participate in locating, quoting, selling, and installing a wide variety of Engineering Services (ES1) meeting min. revenue quota. 
  • Writes procedures for customer trouble shooting issues. 
  • Writes technical procedures for internal Technicians, Helpdesk, and customers. 
  • Designs methods for continuous improvements to reduce customer downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. 
Requirements:
  • 2-4 year technical degree preferred 
  • 3 years electrical/technical position on poultry equipment and/or electrical motor controls. 
  • 5 years electrical motor controls experience. 
  • Skill Sets:
    1. Mechanical and technical knowledge of company equipment preferred
    2. Must be able to read electrical schematics
    3. Must be capable of PLC programming
    4. Must have proficient computer skills
    5. Must have current knowledge of electrical motor controls
    6. Must be bilingual 
Must be willing to travel on short notice.
Salary: Starting at $65k/Year
