Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess integrity and dependability.  They will exhibit good communication skills (written and verbal), will engaging in active listening and foster team building.  Attention to detail, with a focus on accurate data gathering, documentation and follow-through is a must. Willing to expand knowledge and participation in safety, training, and development. Responsibilities: 
  • Performing safety/environmental/housekeeping audits
  • Performing annual JSAs on existing and new equipment
  • Assist in annually required trainings for all departments.
  • Perform specific certification training involving certification for ariel lift, forklift, crane, etc. 
  • Working in coordination with WWT Operator including further education and assistance involving various tasks involved in WWT processes.
  • Scheduling and assisting with various safety training and drills (Evac, Emergency Response, Powered Industrial Truck, etc.)
  • Maintaining records such as audit spreadsheets, incident reports and follow-ups, training rosters, SDS database reviews
  • Researching and placing orders for PPE and other safety related items as required
  • Monitoring and assisting Supervisors with ensuring PPE and technique requirements
Education and Experience: 
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of EHS, preferable in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with conducting specific task and certification training.
  • Experience in First Aid as a responder
  • Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and Outlook (PowerPoint and/or Access a plus)
  • Some safety and/or environmental training (OSHA 30 Hour, DOT/RCRA, PIT Trainer preferred)
