Job Description

Phillips Staffing is hiring for a 1st shift Creeler to join the team at a manufacturer of textile and polymer products in Spartanburg, SC! The Creeler is primarily responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating machinery to create yarn and other textile products.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up: Ensure the correct materials are in place for each production run 
  • Operate: Monitor machines that twist, weave, or spool products 
  • Maintain: Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts 
  • Adjust: Make adjustments to the machine during production runs 
  • Inspect: Check the quality of products coming off the machine 
  • Prepare: Prepare materials to load into the machine 
  • Report: Write maintenance reports and count inventory 
  • Load yarn and thread into the creel
  • Splice yarn together
  • Follow a production schedule
  • Maintain a clean work area. 
Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the textile industry or operating a loom or yarn tufting machine
  • At least 1 year manufacturing experience required
  • Must be self-motivated 
  • Must be productive with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work Overtime, as required
  • Must follow the dress code: Steel Toe shoes are required, plant wide
Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday
 Pay Rate: $18/Hour
