Job Description
We are currently hiring an Assembly Technician for a direct hire role. The position will start in Ball Ground, GA before relocating to Westminster early next year. - The primary objective for this position is to assemble a variety of products, meeting quality and productivity goals, within a manufacturing work environment. This person would work closely with fellow team members and the supervisor to achieve team performance goals in the areas of efficiency, quality, and 5S.
- Work independently and as a team to assemble parts and sub parts to print/standard work instruction.
- Adhere and promote all safety policies and guidelines by Meyn
- Must have great attendance and be on time daily
- Complete all quality inspections required
- Maintain a clean working environment (5S)
- Minimum 1 - 2 years previous mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.
- Ability to read and comprehend prints and work instructions
- Ability to do basic math. (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to use measuring tools. (Tape measure, calipers)
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, grinders, air tools, etc.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- High School Diploma/GED
